It was 1979 when Thomas Hija first embarked on a lifelong dedication to the health, wellness and mobility of the human condition. Through the “multiple method deep breathing”structure, core seventh chakra mediation system and Pylometric resistance movement, his holistically honest approach to body and mind, would not only influence and sustain the direction of his own life but the lives of all privileged to be taught by him.
Tommy’s background stems from the physical and spiritual art form of “Silat Perisai Diri”. An Indonesia form of martial art which is dedicated to century old specialized breathing techniques, meditation and intense physical endurance training. He commenced his education under Grand master Bambang Sukoco. His journey would encompass the structure of the human anatomy and its relation and response to pylometric movement and fundamental breathing sequences drawn from Century old Indonesian/chinese breathing techniques.Later he attended The state University of Jakarta majoring in Sports Science. Now one of the youngest masters worldwide in his discipline. He has acquired a reputation within a broad spectrum of societies, groups, and individuals all over the world.
A combination of expertise, skill, research, and a passion for core physical and mental fitness saw Tommy develop Body to Breath. A cultivation of east meets west, partnering together his extensive knowledge of breathing techniques, meditation, with the science of personal resistance training.
Relentless in his pursuit to improve the physical and mental well being of so many, His clients range from Individuals, groups, and corporate sectors with concerns ranging from but not limited to, the desire to reach ones peak physical fitness to maintaining motivation and good work ethic, all the way to symptoms of sleep deprivation, anxiety and stress, depression injury prevention, sports fatigue,rehabilitation to name a few.
